Suan Dusit University has continuously implemented its mission to enhance students’ quality of life, with particular emphasis on promoting food security, which constitutes a critical component of sustainable learning and student well-being. This mission aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2: Zero Hunger), which aims to eradicate hunger and establish sustainable food systems for all.
In 2024 (B.E. 2567), Suan Dusit University organized diverse activities and programs to prevent and alleviate student hunger while promoting income-generating opportunities during their studies, enabling students to maintain a dignified and quality lifestyle.
“Full Stomach, Healthy Brains” Project – Phase 2
Suan Dusit University, through the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Office of Special Affairs, Suan Dusit Kitchen, Suan Dusit Poll, the Student Development Division, and the Educational and Career Guidance Information Center, organized the “Full Stomach, Healthy Brains for Student Development – Phase 2” project on October 30, 2024, at Dusit Ekkaphon Dining Hall, Suan Dusit University, Suphan Buri Campus.
The project received support from campus administrators and personnel, led by Mrs. Kanlarin Suangkhawatin, Director of Suphan Buri Campus Office, together with Mrs. Pajaree Nunurat, Ms. Chananchida Yudech, Ms. Chatchaporn Klangchom, and Ms. Supattra Chattham, who collaborated in implementing the activities.
Activities under this project aimed to provide supplementary food services to students, particularly those at economic risk, ensuring they receive adequate and appropriate nutrition for their bodily needs. This initiative reduces living cost burdens, creates welfare equality, and strengthens relationships within the university community by providing opportunities for administrators, faculty, and staff to participate as food cost sponsors.
