Suan Dusit University (SDU) places great importance on the holistic well-being of its studentsâcovering physical, mental, and sexual healthâunder the guiding concept of âLearning through Caring.â
Among the universityâs health priorities is sexual and reproductive health, which forms a vital part of studentsâ quality of life and personal development.

To support this vision, the university established the SDU Wellness Center, the main unit responsible for promoting student mental health and reproductive well-being. Operating continuously since 2020, the center serves as a Safe Space where students can seek counseling, guidance, and health services free of charge.
Within the center, a team of professional nurses, psychologists, and counselors provide individualized and confidential support on:
âĒ Adolescent sexual health and relationships
âĒ Mental health related to gender identity and LGBTQ+ well-being
âĒ Information on contraception, reproductive health check-ups, and STI prevention
âĒ Positive sexual-education and health-promotion activities on campus

Building Knowledge and Awareness through Youth Activities
To further enhance understanding of sexual health, the Faculty of Nursing at SDU collaborated with the Department of Healthâs Bureau of Reproductive Health to organize the project
âTeen Love + LGBTQ+: Sexual Wellness and Reproductive Health Awareness.â
Held on 26 April 2024, the program encouraged youth and university students to engage in creative sexual-health education, covering topics such as:
âĒ Proper sexual-health practices
âĒ Contraception and family planning
âĒ Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
âĒ Understanding and respecting sexual diversity (LGBTQ+ inclusion)
Expert speakersâincluding Ms. Ornuma Thangdee, Head of the Reproductive Health Network Development Group, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisuda Wongwiseskul, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Asst. Prof. Thanida Phumthaitit, Associate Deanâserved as judges for the innovative media competition that promoted inclusive sex-education learning.
