Suan Dusit University demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainable energy management. The university not only complies with legal requirements but also serves as a key contributor in reporting, improving, and formulating clean energy policies and energy-efficient technology frameworks.
In 2024, Suan Dusit University prepared its Annual Energy Management Report in accordance with the Ministry of Energy’s regulations. This serves as an essential mechanism for reporting energy consumption data and conservation performance to the Ministry. The university has also established a three-year energy conservation plan (2026–2028), projected to continuously save 57,668.18 kWh per year, reinforcing its dedication to long-term sustainable energy management.
The university’s energy management system encompasses eight comprehensive stages, ranging from the establishment of an Energy Management Committee, the formulation of energy conservation policies, the assessment of energy performance potential, to the continuous monitoring and review of implementation outcomes.
1. ผลการดำเนินการที่เป็นรูปธรรมด้านเทคโนโลยีการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
มหาวิทยาลัยสวนดุสิตได้กำหนด เป้าหมายและแผนอนุรักษ์พลังงาน ประจำปี 2567 โดยเน้นมาตรการด้านไฟฟ้าที่มีนัยสำคัญ ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงการนำเทคโนโลยีประหยัดพลังงาน (Energy-Efficient Technology) หรือการปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพมาใช้อย่างจริงจัง:
- มาตรการเพิ่มสมรรถนะของเครื่องทำความเย็นแบบ Air-Cooled โดยลดอุณหภูมิอากาศระบายความร้อน: เป็นมาตรการสำคัญที่ช่วยลดการใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าได้จริงถึง 181,220.3 kWh/ปี คิดเป็นมูลค่าประหยัด 876,055.87 บาท/ปี (โดยไม่มีการลงทุน) มาตรการนี้แสดงให้เห็นถึงการจัดการระบบปรับอากาศที่เป็น เทคโนโลยีการใช้พลังงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ที่สามารถประหยัดพลังงานได้อย่างมาก
- มาตรการปรับปรุงสมรรถนะระบบปรับอากาศ: เช่น การล้างและบำรุงรักษาเครื่องปรับอากาศแบบแยกส่วน (Split Type) จำนวน 70 ชุด ซึ่งส่งผลให้เกิดผลประหยัดพลังงาน 30,068.18 kWh/ปี.
- มาตรการปิดไฟเมื่อไม่ใช้งาน: เพื่อลดการใช้พลังงานในระบบ แสงสว่าง โดยการปิดไฟในช่วงพักกลางวัน ทำให้สามารถประหยัดพลังงานได้จริง 27,600.00 kWh/ปี คิดเป็นมูลค่า 133,424.00 บาท/ปี.
3. การสร้างความตระหนักและขับเคลื่อนสู่ “Low-Carbon University”
นอกจากมาตรการเชิงเทคนิคแล้ว มหาวิทยาลัยยังดำเนินการเผยแพร่ความรู้และปลูกฝังจิตสำนึก ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการ พัฒนานโยบาย ด้านบุคลากรและการมีส่วนร่วม:
- การฝึกอบรมและกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์พลังงาน มีการจัดหลักสูตรที่เชื่อมโยงโดยตรงกับเป้าหมายระดับโลก เช่น การอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการหัวข้อ “SDU: Actions toward the Sustainable Development Goals and Transitions to a Low-Carbon University” ซึ่งมีบุคลากรเข้าร่วม 277 คน
- Suan Dusit University organized the “60+ Earth Hour 2024: Turn Off Lights for One Hour to Reduce Global Warming” campaign, demonstrating the university’s commitment to fostering policies and an institutional culture that support carbon reduction in the energy sector.
- The Energy Conservation Policy and Action Plan were disseminated through multiple communication channels, including the university website and official LINE groups, to enhance understanding and encourage active participation among students and staff.
Suan Dusit University plays a significant role in informing and supporting the government in developing policies related to Clean Energy Technologies and Energy-Efficient Technologies. This is achieved through compliance with ministerial regulations and the submission of the Annual Energy Management Report, which provides in-depth data and measurable results reflecting the university’s focus on improving the efficiency of key systems—particularly the air conditioning system, which accounted for 71.56% of total electricity consumption in 2024.
By advancing towards becoming a Low-Carbon University, Suan Dusit University serves as a model institution and a valuable reference for national sustainable energy policy development.
