To support this vision, the university established the SDU Wellness Center, the main unit responsible for promoting student mental health and reproductive well-being. Operating continuously since 2020, the center serves as a Safe Space where students can seek counseling, guidance, and health services free of charge.

Within the center, a team of professional nurses, psychologists, and counselors provide individualized and confidential support on:

â€Ē Adolescent sexual health and relationships
â€Ē Mental health related to gender identity and LGBTQ+ well-being
â€Ē Information on contraception, reproductive health check-ups, and STI prevention
â€Ē Positive sexual-education and health-promotion activities on campus

The SDU Wellness Center acts as a key link connecting students with reliable information, knowledge, and services in an accessible and equitable way. 🔗 More information: SDU Wellness Center

Building Knowledge and Awareness through Youth Activities

To further enhance understanding of sexual health, the Faculty of Nursing at SDU collaborated with the Department of Health’s Bureau of Reproductive Health to organize the project

Held on 26 April 2024, the program encouraged youth and university students to engage in creative sexual-health education, covering topics such as:
â€Ē Proper sexual-health practices
â€Ē Contraception and family planning
â€Ē Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
â€Ē Understanding and respecting sexual diversity (LGBTQ+ inclusion)

Expert speakers—including Ms. Ornuma Thangdee, Head of the Reproductive Health Network Development Group, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Srisuda Wongwiseskul, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Asst. Prof. Thanida Phumthaitit, Associate Dean—served as judges for the innovative media competition that promoted inclusive sex-education learning.
