To strengthen inclusive education, SDU has issued an official announcement titled “Policy, Criteria, and Procedures for Admission of Persons with Disabilities to Undergraduate Programs.” The policy, implemented from the academic year 2024 onwards, establishes a structured framework for equitable admissions and instructional support tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all learners can pursue higher education with dignity and equal opportunity.
In the 2024 academic year, SDU admitted students with disabilities into three programs:
– Language and Communication
– Computer Science (for students with visual impairments)
– Home Economics (for students with hearing, intellectual, and autism-related disabilities)
This initiative represents a proactive Planned Action Scheme within the framework of Inclusive Education, ensuring that students with disabilities can fully access learning opportunities and university life.
